ComTrade Group at SINERGIJA 09
On November 17th, in the main hall of Sava Centar, ninth Sinergija IT event was opened, with ComTrade Group as its main sponsor for this year. ComTrade Group, international company primarily active in the area of development and implementation of comprehensive software solutions, appeared on Sinergija together with its partners and vendors, while several of our colleagues held specialist presentations…
Ceremonial opening was attended by representatives from Serbian Government. Vice-President in the Government and Minister for scientific and technological development Božidar Ðelić announced that the Government will invest around € 300 million in scientific and technological development in the next three to five years. Jasna Matić, Minister for telecommunications and information society, while unable to attend, greeted present visitors via video link. Also present at the event were directors from the Microsoft headquarters were– Michael Hartmann, GM for Central and Eastern Europe and Neils Soelberg, VP Public Sector for Europe, South America and Middle East sectors. General Manager of Microsoft Serbia, Vladan Živanović, said that more than 1500 IT enthusiasts applied to take part in Sinergija 09, despite the crises and hardships that we are all facing.
Veselin Jevrosimović, President of ComTrade Group, said during his speech that growth of information society in Serbia depends on effective enforcement of Copyright Law, as well as on education about protection of intellectual property. He also pointed out expected shrinking of IT market for about 30% until the end of this year, and invited public officials to be more proactive in the field of technology development. As a positive example, he explained the cooperation between public and private sectors on the project „Electronic session of the Government“ implemented by ComTrade, which saved a significant sum from the public administration budget. He also reminded the audience of the great cooperation with Microsoft, emphasized by the fact that ComTrade acquired LAR (Large Account Reseller) status, the highest level of partnership with Microsoft.
On ComTrade’s promo stands, 6 distinguished projects were featured, with special emphases on the system for electronic sessions of the Serbian Government, information system for Serbian Business Registration Agency and system for primary and secondary health protection. Visitors also had an opportunity to buy laptop computers at discounted prices, choose from an offer of HP and HTC mobile phones or take part in ComTrade SMS Quiz and win Windows 7 operative system. Borko Kovačević, director of Sinergija 09 and Zoran Janković from Microsoft drew award-recipients from the ranks of those who gave the correct answer to SMS question. The winners were Vladimir Eraković, senior student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, and Nenad Perić, employed in Tax administration.
During Sinergija 09, Belgrade was visited by extraordinary lecturers, such as Rafal Lukawietski, while the audience had a chance to find out news from the technology world. On November 18th and 19th, visitors could choose from a series of over 100 lectures, demonstrations and studies held by experts from around the world. ComTrade contributed to this exchange of knowledge and information with following presentations:

- Information Architecture in MOSS 2007 (Borislav Blagojević)
- In search for lost truth. BI solutions in ComTrade practice (Vladimir Joković, Dragica Lukić & Srđan Atanasijević)
- Application of Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the area of real estate renting and services related to water port operation (Mirjana Miljković, Kosta Stojadinović & Slobodan Matijević)
Beside this, on 18th of November in the Green salon of Continental hotel ComTrade Business Day took place. The role of the hosts was assumed by Vladan Živanović, general manager of Microsoft Serbia and Vladan Atanasijević, GM of Spinnaker, while the presentations were organized by Dimitrije Stošić and Oliver Nikolić from ComTrade and Radoje Dimitrijević from Microsoft.
New operative system „Windows 7“ was also introduced during Sinergija 09, as well as great potentials of the new software package „Microsoft Office 10“.




















ComTrade Becomes Microsoft’s Slovenian Partner of the Year
Sunday, 11 of July saw Washington open its doors to the five-day Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC). At the Conference, Microsoft is set to give out its Partner of the Year Awards in recognition of its registered and certified partners who have developed exceptional solutions for their clients.

A novelty at this year’s Microsoft Partner Awards is the category of Microsoft Country Partner of the Year. First winner of this prestigious accolade for Slovenia will be ComTrade, company formerly known as Hermes SoftLab. The award is intended for partners from respective countries which have excelled in business performance and successful collaboration in providing Microsoft solutions. Our GM will receive the award officially next month in Washington D.C.

ComTrade (HERMES SoftLab) presents “eHealth” proprietary solutions
With a business lecture and presentation of its business, ComTrade has secured a prominent place among exhibitors at the BIH health conference “Dani zdravstva Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine”. The conference, organised by the BIH federal ministry of health in conjunction with Centar "Skenderija", took place in Sarajevo from June 8th through 10th, 2010.

HERMES SoftLab, a ComTrade company, changes name to ComTrade
In 2008 HERMES SoftLab joined the ComTrade Group, continuing to provide the same high quality services to all of its clients across the globe. This acquisition has proven highly successful and has enabled ComTrade to leverage the resources of our combined organizations. It is therefore with great pleasure that we would like to announce our final step towards a unified company—the name change from HERMES SoftLab to ComTrade.
